Integration of 565 princely states in India

INTEGRATION OF 565 PRINCELY STATES IN INDIA

3 June, 1947, how will Independent India look, it was decided on this date. In the presence of the Viceroy of Governor General (Lord Louis Mountbatten), Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, with the leader of (Sikh Sardar Baldev Singh), and Muhammad Ali Jinnah who demanded the separate nation for Muslims means partition of India.
After Independence, 2 Nations will be formed it was 1st announced by Lord Mountbatten on All India Radio(AIR) and it's known as Mountbatten plan. On 4 June, 1947, Lord Mountbatten called a press conference in the legislative Assembly (then the Sansad Bhawan) in which over 300 journalists across the world were present in that conference. It was announced by Mountbatten that the transfer of powers to India from Britain will be done on 15th August, 1947( within 72 days). It was shocking because it was 1st decided that India will get Independence in June 1948.
But the question was that how many Countries are getting Independence 2 or 565. There were 565 different princely states in India why were ruled by different rulers and kings. Before few days of Independence there were 2 questions that how the conflicts, riots can be avoided and other was how all these 565 princely states can be united in one Country i.e. INDIA. VP Menon then the advisor of Lord Mountbatten advised him that he can unite all these princely states. Lord Mountbatten talked about it to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru to unite all the princely states. VP Menon prepared the contract called "INSTRUMENT OF EXCESSION"  to be signed by all 565 princely states and accept that they are the part of Country. On 12 June, 1947 Nizam of Hyderabad announced that they are separating from the Country and separation of Hyderabad means separation of South India from North India.
On 25th July, 1947 (which is marked as the very important date), Lord Mountbatten along with British Family reached the Legislative Council (Sansad Bhavan) to gave his last speech. He invited all the princely states and in his speech he said that date for the transfer of power has been decided i.e. Aug 15 and princely states cannot run from the dominion Government and has to face the reality. Due to his speech it was the advantage that many princely states agreed to sign on the Instrument of Excession as they thought they would not get any help from Britishers so it's better to unite with India.
This is how the princely states got united but many states like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Junagarh, Kashmir, Bhopal and Hyderabad got united with India after Independence. It was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who played a very important role along with VP Menon to unite all these remaining states in India. On 11 Aug, just before 4 days of Independence, Jodhpur agreed to sign on Instrument of Excession after a long talk of King of Jodhpur with Vallabhbhai Patel. VP Menon mentioned all these incidents in his book "The story of Integration of Indian State".
